insurance should cover the bills My company's car insurance refuses to cover my medical bills. They say in the state of NJ the person needs to go through their own car insurance. But my personal car was not involved. In happened while I was at work and it happened while I was in a company vehicle. Shouldn't my company's car insurance by responsible? They claim the state of NJ has some weird law that states my own car insurance is responsible. Is this true?

By NJ state law, your PIP (personal injury protection) covers your medicals. Your insurance will subrogate with the co's insurance for repayment. You pay for the PIP....so use it. Just because you have a PIP claim does not cause your insurance to increase.

thats easy to find out. get on the web, and goggle the insurance laws in NJ. now that is really wierd, since thte company insurance is responsible for all expenses, especially if u were in a company car, on company business.
that is whta ur company pays double the normal rates to insure u and all who work and drive their cars.
another way is contcting the motor vehicle dept in NJ, and see if they have any expetions on who pays for what.
hope u are all right.
good luck
