...insurance pay in case of an accident? I have liability insurance only. My insurance has a high pay out for people who are injured and etc. I think it's around $250 k. I am lending my car to my boyfriend who has his car in the shop. If he would happen to get into an accident (god forbid), how would the insurance work? Do you think my insurance would cover the damaged vehicle and the injured people even though I wasn't driving it?
Ok, I was reading my insurance policy and this is what it says:

We will pay damages for bodily injury or property damage for which any insured becomes legally responsible because of an auto accident.

Then below it reads:

Insured as used in above means:
B. any person using your covered auto with the expressed or implied permission of you or any family member while within the scope of such permission.

I'm guessing that means yes?

NO, they will not pay. He is not on your insurance as a driver. so, you would be out of luck!!! Don't do it especially if you know he will be drinking. Just don't do it!!!!!
