Disabling car alarm on Nissan Primera?

I want to open and close the car manually as the electronic press and open key function is badly worn. If I open the door with the key in the lock the alarm kicks off. Can the alarm be easily switched off or this particular function reset?

It's possible, but for safety's sake it's probably not best to explain how on here. Like SS says, I'd go to an auto electrician.
