I haven't used the car in a few months cause it overheated and never turned back on. I changed the distributor cap and roder and it worked! i never drove it afterwards... now, i turn it on and it shuts off... also, i recently checked my oil and it was all bubbly and it looks like water mixed in with it.. what could it be? should I buy a new valve cover/gaskets? or what? i was told that i could replace the head and it will be fine. Im willing to try it myself.. I have changed the fuel pump before and i have someone to help me that has some experience.. what do I need to do this?? here is a link of some parts for my car, maybe you can show me what i need, thanks so much!

I doubt your local auto parts store is going to have a Haynes or Chilton's Manual for this car, so look for one on ebay, or order one from the publisher; they'll tell you everything you need to know.

Milky oil means you either have a cracked head or a blown head gasket. It takes great experience to change the head gasket or replace the head because the head has to be checked for straightness and the head bolts have to be torqued properly. See a pro.

I used to have a 88 Lebanon 2.5 liter. It seems that you drove the car too long with it overheated and warped the head or messed up the head gasket. It is definitely not the valve cover gasket.

The oil is going to need to be drained and have the engine flushed after the head is shaved or gasket replaced or both. If you do not do this, the engine is going to go south meaning it is done for.

Replacing the head or getting the head that you have shaved will cost about the same. Check around for the best price.

FYI...When I bought my Lebaron used it had an overheating problem and I replaced everything that I could think of to fix it. I ended up trading it in for something else because it never did get fixed. And I am talking everything. Head, radiator, upper and lower hoses, thermostat, twice, temp sender twice, nothing fixed it. I swore I would never get another Chrysler but I did. No probs with this one.

I really do wish you luck on this one. Especially if it is a 2.5 liter. This was really the worst car I ever owned. I have a 98 Chrysler now and no problems.

The head it the upper part of the entire motor. The block is the lower. The head is the upper and the valve covers sit on the head. The head holds the valves and the rocker arms and the block holds the pistons and crank. Try looking under engine head. That might help.
