Forget all the news about Brexit. The big story out of Britain this week for automotive enthusiasts is the announcement of the new Jaguar Co-Pilot Nordschleife program.
Jaguar has just recently introduced its new 567 hp supercar, the Jaguar F-Type SVR, and to give the masses a chance to experience the capabilities of the new car they’ve tossed the keys to the folks at the Nurburgring for a truly unique opportunity.
For twelve weekends, from now until the end of October, guests will be able to reserve a lap around the Green Hell as a passenger in Jaguar’s bright Firesand Orange SVR for about $325. Make your reservation online, show up at the track at your designated time and you’ll be in for a treat as you roar around the track, chauffeured in this amazing ‘Ring taxi by a professional driver.
Once you’ve arrived at the famed 13-mile course you’ll be fitted with a race suit and helmet with HANS device then strapped down into a Recaro race seat for the ride of your life. Multiple in-car cameras will capture every scream, laugh and whimper that comes out of your mouth as you hurtle down the track at speeds of up to 200 mph. What better way to relive your abject terror again and again later in the comfort of your own home?
Jaguar hasn’t said whether or not motion sickness bags will be supplied, but it might be a good idea to make sure you have something on hand if you think you might have any issues with being a passenger on the ultimate twisty road. You don’t want to mess up the interior on their $125,000+ car.
