With a $1 billion investment, up to 2000 initial jobs, and the potential to generate $12 billion in growth, Volkswagen's new Chattanooga plant is well along the way to being a welcome addition to the South. But here's another impressive stat from this high-tech wonder: it's already received the highest engineering certification – ISO 9001:2008 – before the first 2012 Passat has even rolled off the line.
