Volkswagen announced that the 2014 Beetle GSR models equipped with a six-speed manual transmission will have the base price of $29,995.
The GSR models equipped with the six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic will start at $31,095.
The company will build only 3500 of these striking yellow-and-black GSR models globally.
The new GSR has a yellow-and-black color scheme. The car rides on 19-inch “Tornado” aluminum-alloy wheels shod with 235/40 tires and also features black-painted brake calipers.
The new GSR model features EA888 turbocharged and direct-injection 2.0-liter TSI engine that makes 210 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.6 seconds and to reach an electronically governed top track speed of 130 mph.
