Volkswagen appoints new marketing vice president

Stefan Jacoby, CEO of Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced
the appointment of Tim Ellis as Vice President/ Marketing for the
Volkswagen brand.   Ellis will lead and direct all aspects of
marketing communications for the Volkswagen brand in the United
States. He will report directly to Jacoby, who leads the Volkswagen
brand in his role as executive vice president, in addition to his
corporate responsibilities as CEO of Volkswagen of America, Inc.

Ellis comes to the Volkswagen brand from Volvo Car
Corporation in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he served as Global Director/
Advertising, Media and Sales Promotion.

Prior to his Volvo appointment, Ellis held advertising agency
account management roles in Sweden and the United States. His
experience includes management and direction of diverse global brands
such as Major League Baseball, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Virgin Express
Airlines, and Ericsson cellular components and services.

strategy” said Volkswagen of America CEO Jacoby. Ellis will start at
Volkswagen of America, Inc. in December 2007.
