Toyota Canada Inc. will recall approximately 10,038 model year 2014 Tundra CrewMax and Double Cab vehicles to fix an airbags problems.
Due to the possible misinstallation of a garnish on the center roof pillars, the garnish could interfere with the side Curtain-Shield-Airbags (CSA) in the event of a deployment, which may not allow the airbag to achieve its intended inflated shape, the automaker said in a statement.
According to the company, there were no reports of crashes, injuries or fatalities caused by this condition.
Owners of the vehicles will be notified by mail, and dealerships will inspect the center pillar garnish.
If not installed correctly, it will be replaced with a new one, Toyota said.
