Landing on a spot among a list of innovative, powerful, classy and useful products for 2011 is the recently released Fiat 500, which took home a “Gear of The Year” award. For the first time every, the editors of Men’s Journal included cars on the list of 40 items which was usually reserved for technology, apparel and equipment. “We’re extremely honored to win the ‘Gear of the Year’ award from Men’s Journal,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of FIAT Brand North America.
The 2012 Fiat 500 was given the award due to its ability to blend age-old style with modern-day innovation. Men’s Journal saw the car as a way to experience more in life as it is attainable all while being exclusive. “The new Fiat 500 is truly distinctive and we will continue to expand the appeal of our Cinquecento, with the upcoming introduction of the Fiat 500 by Gucci, aimed at Italian style lovers, and the Fiat 500 Abarth, targeted towards Italian performance enthusiasts,” said Kuniskis.
