Chrysler’s Belvedere Assembly plant got a little bit of Italian flavor recently as the all-new 2013 Dodge Dart began rolling off the line. Not only is the sedan a combination of Alfa Romeo engineering and American design, it’s the first offering made between both Chrysler and their parents, Fiat. When June shows its face, the U.S.-made Darts will begin hitting showroom floors and the very first Belevedere made sedan is already primed and ready to go.
Bathed in a classic Red suit, the first completed Dart is a Rallye packaged model with black and red interior. Powered by the new-for-Dodge 1.4 liter inline four cylinder, the compact features three pedals, a rear view camera and sunroof. One of the many outcomes to come about from the Dart’s 12 exterior and 14 interior colors, the first Belevedere car will quickly be followed by various other combinations. With three engines, three transmissions and a plethora of trims, there really will be a Dart for just about anyone.
