The current generation, C6 Corvette is a world-class sports car that can run with cars twice its price. Simple but effective, the Corvette is Chevrolet’s number one star and for good reason. That being said, it has had some complaints and one of the biggest is its seats; which have been compared to sitting on a cardboard box. Proof that Chevrolet is actually listening came not too long ago when they announced that for 2012, the seats will finally be changed.
A few years ago, Chevrolet did install a different seating arrangement that was accepted as a solution, but it wasn’t standard or available for all models. They’re changing this, making those seats the standard equipment for all trim levels. They should provide much improved holding for drivers as they sling their Corvettes around the track and on-ramps while still providing comfort for grand touring adventures. Little additions and change ups to the interior will accompany the new seats as well.
