The Chevrolet Silverado has become a multi-talented vehicle and can be appreciated by everyone from men, women and especially contractors and business owners. Now, for the 2012 model year, General Motor’s best selling vehicle can be outfitted to be a rolling office. Available for all trim levels, Chevy WiFi powered by Autonet Mobile allows the Silverado to support internet for electronic devices.

“We know business doesn’t stop when people are out of the office,” said Dan Tigges, product manager, full-size trucks and utility vehicles. “Autonet allows them to enhance productivity by seamlessly and conveniently continue doing business at the jobsite.”

A dealer installed system, Autonet can provide internet access to multiple devices within a 150 foot radius, including inside the truck’s cab. The router is provided and runs through 3G and 2.5G cellular data networks. Passangers can access Autonet anytime while drivers can only when the Silverado is stopped. A monthly service will have to payed and the system initially retails for $399.

“We are committed to helping customers improve their businesses,” says Chris Rauser, Chevrolet Accessories manager. “By adding WiFi and mobile office capability, the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado is packed with technology that provides the means for more effective, compromise-free work off site.”
