The new 2015 Subaru WRX and WRX STI are coming. The latest versions of Subaru’s best pocket rockets hit the market with a host of performance changes that promise to make them better handling and faster than ever before. How much will all those extra upgrades cost you? Not much actually. The standard WRX will carry a base price of $26,295. That is only $300 more than the old car. Considering the new car has an entirely new exterior design, resigned suspension and an all-new engine, $300 seems like quite the bargain.
The story gets even better for the STI model. It moves into 2015 with the exact same price as the old car, $34,495. True, the STI has the same drivetrain as last year’s model, but it still benefits from all the same great chassis and visual tweaks that garnish the WRX.
The biggest loss for 2015 is the 5-door body style. Maybe the cost they saved by cutting the hatch allowed them to provide the cheaper pricing.
These two bonafide hoon machines are set to hit showrooms this spring.
