The president and CEO of Volvo Car Corporation, Stefan Jacoby, will be taking a temporary sick leave. Last week, the gentleman suffered from a mild stroke and was quickly placed under medical supervision. The set back may have hurt, but just like his cars, Jacoby is rather strong and on the fast track to recovery. Even still, he will stay absent for a little bit longer so that when he returns, the man will be in tip-top order.
“I was lucky that it was a mild stroke,” said Stefan Jacoby. According to the boss himself, the attack has hurt his ability to move is right arm and to an extent, his leg. Even though he will be away from the office, Jacoby has been keeping in contact with Volvo Car Corporation Executive Management team and the Board of Directors. Until his return is definite, Volvo’s CFO Jan Gurander will serve as acting CEO.
“I have started to recuperate and already notice certain improvements. Now I will focus on resting and exercising, in order to get back to work as soon as possible,” said Jacoby.
