Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz wants some internet sales too and will start selling cars online through their dealership in Hamburg. BMW is already experimenting with this selling online idea.
Starting from Tuesday, customers will be able to have a pilot test from their 70 pre-configured vehicles. The package which they are offering is lucrative which includes lease, insurance and maintenance on the A-Class hatchback, CLA four- door coupe and CLS Shooting Brake wagon.
Online buyers will be rewarded with many complementary rentals of roof racks for vacation trips or trip to Moto-racing events as the prices will be equal to German dealerships. All the dealing will be done by dealers at internet as online, and the customer support will be supplied to customers via salesman
Andrea Finkbeiner-Mueller, head of customer satisfaction of Mercedes, said in Germany that this is their new field and they are following their vision.
Mercedes is the world’s third-largest luxury-car brand but as the competition is increasing each day so they are trying to web sell too and it is already becoming a trend so why not. They want to reach new customers who never buys any Mercedes before.
Daimler next plan is to start a second pilot Web store in Warsaw in the first quarter.
