The Scion FR-S flew off the lots faster than Toyota could make them when the car was first revealed, but since that initial burst, sales have slowed dramatically. To try and boost numbers Toyota has given the car a nice little update for 2016. A new standard stereo with a 7-inch touchscreen, backup camera and upgraded interior trim all make their way to the car, and there will also be two new exterior paint colors; Ablaze red, and Oceanic blue.

Apart from the paint, the exterior should be left the same. When I got the chance to drive the FR-S a few months back, I really enjoyed it, but I did think the interior was a little drab and dreary. With new silver accents on the steering wheel, shift knob, door panel and center console, the interior looks much more inviting and less cave-like. I approve.

Sadly, these new updates come with a slight downfall on price. The MSRP of the FR-S sees a jump of $405 for both automatic and manual equipped cars. The manual car starts at $25,305 and the automatic car comes in at $26,405. If you would like to buy one, the new car hits dealerships in June.
