We would like to tip our hats to Mr. Timothy Colbeck for being named Saab Cars North America’s new president and CEO. Overseeing Saabs largest market, Mr. Colbeck will report to Saab Automobile’s vice president as well as the board of directors. He will also be the man behind the movement of the upcoming next generation Saabs: all four of them being brand new.
With 25 years of industry experience under his belt, Mr. Colbeck was recently the senior vice president of sales for Subaru of America. Under his guidance, Subaru of America reached record sales and was the only manufacture to achieve sales increases in last three years. Matthias Seidl, Vice President and Head of Global Sales and Aftersales said, “Tim’s impressive accomplishments during his automotive career in rebuilding the Subaru brand are invaluable to the Saab team and represent his ability to further Saab’s vision for success.”
This addition plus the recent restart of production in Sweden might just give Saab a fighting chance to put its name back on the automotive map.
