There have been rumors circulating around the Hyundai Veloster since the day it was released, on whether there would be a more powerful version.
According to Hyundai-Blog, these rumors are sounding more and more true. The word on the street is the best option would be a 1.6 turbocharged version producing 208HP at 6000rpm.
If Hyundai decided to go the route we suspect this would put serious pressure on Volkswagen and their GTI and to Honda’s Civic Si.
The rumor surrounds only because Hyundai buyers would not only see a 70HP gain but we would predict a significant drop in mpg’s. So will Hyundai go through with the idea or just keep us guessing?
