A German court has banned San Francisco-based Uber, a ridesharing service, from operating in the country, according to a news report by The Associated Press.
According to Frankfurt state court spokesman Arne Hasse, Uber cannot offer its services without a specific permit under German transport laws, which applies nationwide.
In a statement, Uber said that it it would use “all legal means” to fight the case.
