At least 28 people were injured in a horrific multicar crash at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday afternoon.
According to the news reports, 12 cars were involved in the crash that occurred before the end of the Nationwide Series race. Kyle Larson’s car went airborne in the wreck and hit the catch-fence, leaving debris from the car, including two tires, inside the fencing.
Speedway President Joie Chitwood said that 14 of the injured spectators were transported off-property for medical attention and 14 were treated on site.
