It took close to two years, but the incredible Porsche 918 Spyder supercar has officially ended its production run. With close to 900 horsepower pumping out of its combination of V8 engine and three electric motors, this incredible machine combined some of the greatest technology that the world has ever seen to create one of the fastest cars in the world.
Only 918 of these cars will ever be built, making it a rare and desirable machine. Along with being one of the first super-hybrids ever built and sold, it also holds the world record at the Nurburgring for a road-legal car with production tires. A blistering time of 6 minutes 57 seconds.
I am sad to see that this car will no longer be produced, but I am happy to know it existed to begin with.
Congrats on yet another great run of a great car, Porsche.
