Porsche has a long history of pushing barriers and raising the bar in the world of sports cars. With decades of racing history, decades of innovation, and decades of generally being amazing, Porsche has a lot of supercars to look at and draw from #SupercarSunday. While we will be crossing into that history to check out various models later, but for right now, I want to take a look at Porsche latest and greatest creation, the 918 Spyder.

It was the first of the new-age hybrid supercars to arrive on the sales floor, and it defined the market. It features not just one, but three electric motors, as well as a V8 engine that together make almost 900 horsepower. The electric motors are positioned with one in each front wheel for torque vectoring AWD, and one in the rear attached to the engine to act as a hybrid powertrain. The 918 features a plug-in charging system for its battery pack as well, and it can be operated as an actual EV.

It came with a price of nearly $1-million, and it was limited to just 918 models to be ever produced. Of course, the best part about the 918 is not its speed, its price, its performance, or its removable carbon fiber roof panel. The best part was they sold it from the factory with a classic Martini livery that you can see here in our gallery. It’s a 200 mph hybrid Porsche with a V8 and its covered in the classic Martini stripes. This is the greatest thing ever made.
