Nissan Motor Co Ltd will release about three subcompact cars in North America by fiscal 2008 in a bid to boost flagging sales, the Nikkei reported, without citing sources.
The automaker will use the planned full redesign of its key Cube subcompact next year to debut the vehicle in North America, the financial daily said. The Cube, which has been sold only domestically to date, will be exported from Japan and could also be shipped to Europe down the road.
