Nissan is celebrating Earth Day with a great practical example by launching six LEAF taxis into service in New York City. New York City Major Michael Bloomberg was also present during this one of a kind launch.
Nissan is looking for ways to broaden the use of electric cars including commercial applications like taxis and this step will take them one step closer to that dream. As we know, Nissan NV200 was also selected New York City’s Taxi of Tomorrow.
