To call Mini’s involvement in motorsports anything but successful would be a disservice to the brand. In the last decade alone, Mini has successfully competed in touring car and rally racing. Just last year, Mini entered five cars in the Dakar rally, all five finished in the top ten including the first and second place podiums.
Mini is looking to capitalize on this success again this year with a new set of specially prepared Countryman models courtesy of X-Raid. Mini even plans on using Countryman models as support vehicles, fitted with little more than an off-road package and some Mini brand accessories.
