Starting this fall, a few Subaru models are getting a little prettier thanks to a new paint color. While models like the STI have eternally been available in red, WR Blue, and various shades of black, white and gray, a new blue paint is coming. Dubbed Hyper Blue, the new color is similar to the hues found on Polestar Volvos, and it is also reminiscent of the Grabber Blue paint that Ford offered on the Mustang.
There is no official word yet on what models will be getting the new color, but Subaru announced it on the companies Facebook page, and it offered it with a few photos of an STI and a BRZ wearing the new color. It looks quite dashing.
To be fair, I would much rather have seen an announcement regarding the return of the STI hatchback, but Hyper Blue paint is a nice consolidation prize. Feel free to look at all the photos Subaru provided in the gallery below.
