Mazda is recalling 161,400 midsize cars in the United States because the doors can open during driving.
The recall affects Mazda 6 cars from the 2009 through 2013 model years.
According to automaker, the door latch mounting screws can loosen. That can stop the doors from latching. If the latches come loose, a door ajar light will warn drivers.
Mazda said it will notify owners and dealers will put on a thread-locking adhesive and tighten the screws.
The recall will start around Oct. 18.
