Do you like lightweight high horsepower sports cars? I know I do. Well Lotus launched something for all of us to drool over. The Lotus Evora has been put on a diet in order to create the Lotus Evora Sport 410. With the exclusive use of carbon fiber, the Lotus Lightweight Laboratory managed to drop 155 pounds off of the regular Evora. It also shares the 410 horsepower supercharged engine from the Lotus 3-Eleven, moving the car from 0-60 in a respectable 3.9 seconds.

The new lightweight chassis allowed Lotus to redesign the geometry of the suspension, able to lower the car an extra 5mm to provide not only a sharper more agile response but change the aerodynamics of the car as well, all of these changes work together to lap the Lotus test track a whole 3 seconds faster than the normal Evora. The Evora Sport 410 is a sports car lover’s dream. Rolling off of the assembly line with a lightweight flywheel and 6 speed manual, you can be sure to giggle as you quickly pop off gears on your pursuit of speed and grip, the optional Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires and the standard LSD ensure that you’re never left lacking in the corners.

Thankfully Lotus is being nice and is working on a North American version of the car so we don’t get left out. For the rest of the world, expect to see the first batch by June of this year, Lotus plans to announce the North American market cars later this year and we expect them to be priced upwards of 100,000 dollars. In the meantime check out our gallery for photos.
