For the past 49 years Jeep enthusiasts have been gathering for the annual Easter Jeep Safari, and to reward their loyalty, Jeep brings several new concept vehicles. This being the 75th Anniversary of the Jeep brand, and the 50th anniversary of the Easter Jeep Safari, we’re willing to bet that Jeep will be stepping their concept game up a notch or two.
The second photo bears the title of Jeep Crew Chief. The drawing presented is obviously a take on last year’s gorgeous retro Jeep Chief concept. Could this be a crew cab version of the Chief, complete with short truck bed? We hope so, as the only way to currently get a Jeep with a truck bed is either expensive conversions such as the JK8 or waiting for the recently confirmed 2017 Wrangler pickup. While these are nice, if the Crew Chief is anywhere near as attractive as the 2015 Chief concept was, it’s guaranteed to be a big hit.
The 50th annual Easter Jeep Safari kicks off in Moab, UT, on March 19th, so we’ll know soon enough if these hopes have been made reality.
