The ultimate crossover SUV built specifically for Nissan’s Formula One champ, Sebastian Vettel, will enter soon no longer be a ‘one-off’. Confirmed by Infiniti themselves, Vettel’s FX which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show will go into production. Based on a FX50 S Premium, the double champion put his own time and advice into the build that produced the fastest Infiniti. With a top speed of 300 kilometers per hour, the 5.0 liter V8 all wheel drive luxury loaded crossover put down 414 horsepower.
“Doing the FX Sebastian Vettel version for Frankfurt was fun, but it’s also a kind of pilot. It’s about our equivalent of (Mercedes-Benz) AMG or (BMW) M Cars. We wanted to test the organization and see if it could cope with this type of special version. Sebastian’s FX demonstrates we are able to do low volume specials and the FX Sebastian Vettel version is one of the first that will go to market.” Production number, release date and price have yet to be officially revealed. Despite that, there is still hope and enough time for the Germans to add a little more scoot to their hot-rod SUVs.
