When Honda released the latest generation Civic last year, it was met with almost universal disdain. It was so badly received that Consumer Reports, a long time Civic supporter, revoked its “recommended” designation.
Now just one year later, Honda has brought a new Civic that promises to fix all the issues from last year. The new car features a heavily revised exterior that borrows heavily from the new Honda, and the inside has been graced with many more soft-touch pieces than before. The multi-level dash still lives on, but the interior does feature Bluetooth and a rear-view camera as standard equipment. New optional safety goodies include lane departure and forward collision systems.
The biggest changes come in the form of extensive and much needed NVH reduction features and revised steering and suspension systems.
