What happens when the amazing Ford Raptor is reworked by the custom hotrod builder Hennessey who set out to fill the overwhelming void of a full-size pre-runner SUV? The 600 horsepower VelociRaptor is what happens.
The folks at Hennessey have taken a stock Ford Raptor CrewCab and added a SUV-style rear end that replaces the cargo bed and adds a third row of seating and huge amounts of storage room.
The additional body work and interior upgrades inflates the curb weight by some 600 pounds, so Hennessey bolted on a supercharger to the 6.2-liter V-8. The truck kicks out 600 bhp under 7 pounds of boost, rocketing the 6,600+ pound SUV from 0-60 in roughly 7.5 seconds.
The VelociRaptor has a starting price of $149,500, including the original Raptor. Hennessey only plans on building 30 VelociRaptors per year, so sign up now if an 8-passenger, 600 hp SUV that can pre-run the Baja 1000 is on your wish list.
