There are few things more embarrassing than showing up at the soccer field with an SUV that looks just like every other mom’s.
Enter GMC’s latest offering, announced ahead of the upcoming New York International Auto Show. The Nightfall Edition of their popular Terrain will be available this fall so that mom can park her truck confidently next to dad’s Nightfall Canyon.
If we sound less than enthused, it’s because there’s nothing all that new here. This is a purely cosmetic change. A charcoal gray grill, shiny black trim pieces scattered about and black and chrome wheels grace four different colors. Summit White, Graphite Gray Metallic and Crimson Red Metallic can be ticked off on the option box by the less Mafioso-leaning in the PTA, while Onyx Black is the ultimate choice for those who prefer their runs to ballet class in semi-murdered-out fashion.
Rumored to be the last year of this generation of Terrain/Equinox, we can’t help but wonder how many will opt for a truck that distinctively broadcasts itself as being the last of its aging breed. There’s a parking lot pecking order, you know.
