The launch of the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano were made possible by many people but one in particular made sure they happened without a hitch. Alicia Boler-Davis will soon leave her role as plant manager for both the Orion Assembly and Pontiac Stamping plants in Michigan, where she oversaw the recent launches, in order to move up in General Motors. Her new position, vice president for Customer Experience, will allow the GM faithful to create repeat buyers for Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac and Buick.
“What I admire about her is her candor with leaders and strength of commitment she engenders among her team,” said Mark Reuss, GM North American President. Boler-Davis will report to Reuss and begin her employment as soon as possible. She got her start in 1994 as a GM engineer and has served as a Vehicle Line Director and Vehicle Chief Engineer for small cars and a plant manager for the Lansing, Arlington, Orion and Pontiac facilities. “The breakthrough change that Alicia led as plant manager at Orion Assembly, while launching the all-new Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, needs to be brought to our customer experience.”
