General Motors and its joint ventures sold 277,647 vehicles in China last month, up 13.7% from the same month in 2012 and setting a record for September sales.
GM’s Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Wuling and Baojun brands all posted year-over-year sales increases in September.
Wuling brand sales totaled 129,648 vehicles in September, up 18.4%, while Buick sales of 71,002 vehicles rose 14.3%, Chevrolet sales of 57,285 vehicles was up 2% and Baojun sales of 10,028 vehicles jumped 9.6%, according to the news report.
The Cadillac brand’s sales soared 73.9% to 4,496 vehicles.
