At the Frankfurt Auto Show a few weeks ago there were dozens of cool new cars, reveals, and concepts. Of all the interesting things at the show though, there were few things as different or advanced as the Mercedes-Benz Concept IAA. IAA stands for intelligent aerodynamic automobile, and it gives just a hint at what this car can actually do. One of the hard parts of creating a very aerodynamic automobile is that the shapes and forms required make a car extremely impractical for street use. When you compound the fact that the car only has to be aerodynamic when its moving at speed, most automakers design cars to be more useful, and little less aerodynamically efficient.
