Like Buick across the aisle, the Cadillac booth was on the smaller side for GM. Despite increasing sales and strong brand awareness, the company was only displaying a small handful of cars. While there were some interesting cars like the ATS-V and CTS-V, as well as the new CT6 sedan, the real news for Cadillac at the show was the reveal of the new XT5 crossover.
Designed as a replacement for the aging SRX, this new family crossover promises to better marry the luxury and performance of the Cadillac brand with a functional and spacious crossover. The SRX feels far too much like the Chevy it’s based on, and Cadillac is keen to push the brand’s image even further up the luxury ladder.
The XT5 should remedy most of the issues with NVH and quality thanks to a completely redesigned interior that focuses on comfort and style above all.
