When Renting a car do they factor in your age?

I am trying to rent a car for Christmas. I am just a little confused because I put in all the information they asked for but they never inquired about my age. I was under the impression that you must be 25 or older to not incur a "underage" fee. If this is true how would I know the exact price with the "age" fee?? Or have some rental companies done away with the extra fee all together???

When I rented a car & was under 25, they didn't tack on the extra fee till I picked up the car (at which time they will photocopy your license and note your age).
