the transmission in my 1993 mazda 626 went out! help!?

ok, well i was driving down the road when i thought the transmission popped out of gear, i look at my shifter and it was still in drive. now at this point i would give the car gas but nothing but my rpms revin.

now, i checked the fluid and topped it off and no luck.

what has happen to my car? how much will this cost? Help!!

you have two options replace the whole transmission or rebuild it. to replace the whole transmission it can be done in 2 options. new it will cost $1500 and used $900 with parts and labors. rebuild $1300. good luck.
