MySpace to lay off 30 percent of staff

Hi,

This is my first post to the forum, it’s very informative and enjoyable really.

According to Routers, Myspace will cut its staff by 30 percent. As you can guess, Facebook and Twitter are very powerful competitors of myspace. There are many more competitor in online community industry and I wonder which one will become most powerful. Any predictions?

You forgot about Google new service called Buzz. Right now its popularity is pretty low, but you never know.

I think with the popularity of social networking system and free featured blogging service of Wordpress , Myspace losing its hold on traffic. Unless Myspace offers some great new features , it is tough to get that ex-poser again.

I also was on myspace for quite a long time but all the sudden all my friends started to use facebook and no one was using myspace anymore. When you compare those two social media sites you see that facebook is more user friendly than myspace, it is much easier to keep in touch with your friends and that's what social media sites are all about, right?
