i smell something from my car.?

when ever i come down from the mountains, or over rev my car in 1st gear(standard car) i get a smell like the tire brakes. but the whole brakes(not just the pads) are new, so what is it. i want to know cause i dont know what it smells like if im actually burning the clutch or something.

Brake linings and clutch linings are made out of the same kind of friction material. Sounds like you're abusing the clutch.

yes i agree with dan... maybe you should check out your linings before it gets busted...
