The future of Ford Motor Company’s design language and vision, the EVOS Concept, will make its North American debut at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The car was first seen at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show while January’s CES will be the first time U.S. citizens will get the opportunity to view the technology-driven concept up close. Highlighting the EVOS is its integration of the Cloud computing system that has the potential of turning the concept into a luscious, rolling lap top.
“Today, drivers have to adapt to the features and capabilities of their car,” said Paul Mascarenas, Ford chief technical officer and leader of the company’s global Research and Innovation team. “The Evos Concept changes the paradigm of how you interact with your car. Our vision is that the car should seamlessly adapt to the driver taking the driving experience to a whole new level of personalization and convenience.” The EVOS isn’t just a new way of dealing with a vehicle media system. The cloud system takes into account driver preferences and adapts to how certain information and media is delivered. With heart rate monitors and an allergy-free interior, Ford’s latest concept even makes sure you are feeling up to snuff.
“The car gets to know you and can act as a personal assistant to handle some of the usual routines of a daily commute,” said Mascarenas.
