Ford Motor Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alan Mulally said that he is not leaving Ford to join Microsoft, The Detroit News reported Jan. 7.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday, Mulally said he wanted to end the Microsoft rumor.

Mulally’s declaration comes a week before North American International Auto Show in Detroit, where Ford will show its next-generation F-150 pickup truck.

According to one Ford insider, Mulally had become tired of repeatedly answering questions about a possible move to Microsoft.
