The Fiat 500 is growing more and more everyday. In much the same vein as MINI, the boys in Italy are finding all kinds of fun ways to create new cars from their little 500. First came the 500 and 500c convertible, then came the Abarth and the Turbo.
Now we have this, the 500e plug-in electric. This all-electric machine is Fiat’s idea of an eco-friendly city car. We approve. The car is powered by a 111 horsepower motor with 147 lb/ft of torque which we believe makes the Fiat 500e the only plug-in electric conversion that is much more powerful than the car it is based on.
Like all Fiat 500 models, this one has a plethora of cool options and extras. The car is going to be sold in three color packages, the interior is available in Nero or Steam colors with orange accents and a seven-inch screen to display all the requisite eco-motoring info.
The cars comes with Firehawk GT low-rolling-resistance tires mounted to 15-inch rims, and Fiat says the whole setup is good for 80+ miles of silent driving. Check out this electric fashion model in our gallery below.
