Last week we revealed that we had inside information regarding the sale of the new Morgan 3 Wheeler here in the United States. We have reached out to Bobby Singh and the group at Manhattan Motorsports, and they have confirmed that they are indeed an authorized dealer for the new British monster.
The machine is powered by V-twin engine with an estimated output of between 80 and 115 hp (American Spec models have yet to be dyno tested) with weight coming in around 1,00o lbs. Top speed has been pegged at 125, with an estimated 4.5 second run to 60 mph, so make sure you keep that helmet handy. A large bug at those speeds could be painful.

The New Morgan 3 Wheeler
The 2012 Morgan Three Wheeler is a fusion of modern technology into a classic design. A leather padded aircraft style cockpit indulges the feeling of ‘flying through the air’. Refining the original design has produced a unique 21st century vehicle.
Originally produced in 1911, the Morgan 3 Wheeler led to the success of the Morgan Motor Company. This brilliant but simple design by skilled engineer and company founder Harry Morgan (generally known as HFS) became one of the most successful lightweight cars of the early days of motoring. The principle of fitting a powerful motorcycle engine and simple transmission into a lightweight chassis and body inspired a new type of vehicle.
Now as Morgan Motor Company introduces the new 2012 Morgan Three Wheeler, Manhattan Motorsports (MMS) is privileged to become a part of this auto’s evolving history.
Just like its 100 year old namesake, the new 3 Wheeler is made by-hand at Morgan’s factory in Malvern, UK. By fitting the latest 1982cc S&S 56° V-twin, OHV, single throttle body fuel injection, and a Mazda 5 speed gearbox, the auto provides ‘get in and drive’ simplicity and reliability. A sturdy tubular frame and two rollover bars surround the passenger compartment. An aerodynamic super formed ‘bullet’ hull protects the occupants from the weather.
The feeling of freedom and contact with the road through the front wheels will bring to mind the joy of driving automobiles from the 1920’s and 30’s but without their predecessors’ fragility or temperament. A sub 500kgs overall weight and a slippery hull provides the ultimate in performance and fuel economy. The Morgan Three wheeler has unrivalled power to weight for its on the road price.
