Chevrolet crossovers, including Equinox, Traverse, and HHR, had combined U.S. sales in February of 18,601, up 50 percent from the same month last year. The growth was lead by a 133 percent increase in sales for Equinox, a compact crossover redesigned for the 2010 model year.

“Consumers have made Equinox a resounding success,” says Jim Campbell, Chevrolet General Manager.

“Consumers clearly agree with industry experts, who have recognized the Equinox as one of the best compact crossovers on the market.

The Equinox is one of three Chevrolets included on the 2010 Top 10 Family Cars by Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com. Kelley Blue Book editors said of the Equinox:

“In the highly populated crossover category, the Chevy Equinox stands out from the crowd as a vehicle that competently embodies function and form. In addition to an upscale interior and bold exterior styling, the Equinox is also able to achieve a class-leading 32 mpg on the highway (in four-cylinder form).”

The 2010 Equinox is also named the Best Small Utility by MotorWeek. MotorWeek editors called the Equinox, “One of the brightest lights of the ‘new’ GM… the Equinox raises the bar on compact people-movers across the board.”
