For 2011, the consumer advocate publication Edmunds.com as added the Dodge Ram to its most prestigious list. The 2011 Consumer Top Rated Vehicles List is put together by gathering road tests and more importantly, actual consumer surveys. Because of those, the current generation Ram was named best large, light-duty pickup truck.
“It’s got the looks, the muscles and the talent,” said the Edmunds. “The powerful engine lineup includes a brawny Hemi V8 that can accelerate a four-wheel-drive Ram 1500 Crew Cab to 60 mph in less than 8 seconds and tow over 10,000 pounds.” This statement was revealed to be very accurate when we at Autotalk.com tested a Hemi Ram a few weeks ago.
Along with the kind words from Edmunds, owners of the Ram also spoke out. “I am extremely pleased with it,” said one owner. “It has the center console and back-up camera that is more helpful than I would have thought. I’m also very happy with the factory spray-in bedliner.”
