Delphi Automotive PLC announced that the company’s CEO and President Rodney O’Neal is going to retire March 1, reports The Detroit News.
O’Neal will be replaced by Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Kevin P. Clark.
Delphi was formerly a General Motors subsidiary and previously headquartered in Troy. The company has faced several probes, including its role in producing ignition switches for recalled General Motors (GM) vehicles that have been linked to 13 deaths and 54 crashes. It also faces an investigation by the IRS into its tax status.
O’Neal will remains with the company in an advisory role until the end of 2015 and expects an orderly transition.
Mark J. Murphy will replace Clark as CFO, effective Oct. 1.
