Citroën registered nearly 42,000 passenger cars in France in March 2011, the highest monthly total in the country for more than 40 years.
March brought first-quarter 2011 to a very positive end, with monthly increases for the brand outstripping those of the market by 19.2% for passenger cars (PCs) and 18.7% for light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Commenting, Xavier Chardon, Head of Market Area France, said: “These results reflect the enthusiasm of consumers for Citroën cars. Consumer sales were up 37%* on March 2010, placing the Marque number-one in consumer sales for the month”.
